Float Limits & Default Float

Here's a screenshot of the float limits and default float parameters.

Float Group Limits

1. FLTM Maximum limit during shift (FLTM) must be set BEFORE setting limit at given time (FLTL).
2. FLTL Maximum limit at one time (FLTL) must be set BEFORE setting other limits (FLTX/FLTB/FLTC).
3. FLTX Maximum number of floats an employee can withdraw during a shift.
4. * FLTB Number of BILLS for each denomination, which is to be included in default float.
5. * FLTC Number of COINS for each denomination, which is to be included in default float.

Note  Notes:   1.  * Parameter data shows (num * denom:num * denom) with (amt=total) for both bills and coins.
2.  * The bill and coin denominations depend on the type of currency and the parameter settings.
3.  * Click FLTB or FLTC to bring up control to select number for each denom.  (see example below)
4.  * Coins previously in ROLLS, so numbers related to number of rolls, now it is number of coins.

Bill Denomination Control

When you select parameter id "FLTB" you are directed to a screen which allows you to select the number of bills, for each denomination, to be included in the default float.

Coins Dispenser Type

There is a system parameter in the parameter group "SERVER" called "FloatTransactionType", which has a setting of 1, 2, or 3.  For setting "1", when you select the parameter id "FLTC" a dialog box appears giving you the option of specifying whether the "coins dispenser type" is "coins loose" or "coins rolls".  This allows you to configure one float group with a default float which includes coin rolls (if supported) and another float group to have a default float which includes loose coins.

For "coins loose" the coin denomination control is similar to the bill denomination control (shown above).  For coins rolls the coin denomination control allows you to select the number of rolls (see below).

You select the number of rolls for each denomination, with the value of each roll shown in dollars.
