MAINTENANCE / MACHINE / MACHINE GROUP
This help file covers the following topics: | |
|
When you click on a "machine group name" within the "machine group list" you are forwarded to the details page. This page allows you to EDIT the "machine group description", plus ADD or EDIT "machine group parameters".
Here's a screenshot of the "machine group details" page.
1. Machine Group | Machine group name. (cannot edit) |
2. Description | Update machine group description, if required. |

Click the add parameter button to open the "Add Parameter" screen. |
The "group parameter list" is included on the machine group details page. Any group parameters listed affect all machines within the machine group. Parameters are applied in the following order: machine parameters / machine group parameters / system parameters.
1. Sort/Group | Parameter category. |
2. Param ID | Parameter name. (click to edit the parameter value) |
3. Param Data | Value assigned to parameter. |
4. Comments | Additional information. |
5. Delete | Select checkbox of parameters to be deleted and then click "Submit". |
![]() |
Notes: | 1. | The underlined column headers are sortable fields.  (You can toggle between ascending and descending sorts) |
2. | If the SAME parameter is applied at all 3 levels, the value set for the machine parameter overrides the value of the machine group parameter, which overrides the value of the system parameter. |
STEP #1: Click "Add Parameter" button and select parameter to add from list.
1. Param ID | Select the parameter to ADD from the drop-down list. |
2. Param Data | You need to click the "Edit Parameter Data" button to set a value for this parameter. |
STEP #2: Click "Edit Parameter Data" button to display the parameter editor and set the param value.
![]() |
Note: | The "default" control for editing parameter values is the textbox. This is OK for certain values, but for monetary values it is often easier to use the "parameter data editor", which provides a graphical user interface. The parameter data editor can be enabled or disabled when editing an existing parameter. |
STEP #3: Click "Submit" button to save the NEW group parameter to the parameter list.
![]() |
Note: | When you click the "Submit" button the NEW parameter value is immediately sent to ALL the machines within the machine group. The exception to this rule is when a "machine" parameter value overrides the "machine group" parameter value. |
You can update a parameter by clicking on the "Parameter ID" within the parameter list. This will open the following parameter edit screen. This screen provides you with several options. You can elect to send the NEW parameter value immediately or based on a "scheduled task" or "execute command". You can also disable the "Parameter Editor", though not recommended.
The steps for editing an existing parameter are as follows:
You can delete machine group parameters by selecting the checkbox for the parameters you wish to delete from within the parameter list. When you click on the "Submit" button, backoffice will query your request before deleting the selected parameters.
Here's a list of the machine status codes.
