Overview

Clicking the filter button in the event monitoring page will display the event filter page.

Filter Events (1)

The top part of the form filters events based on severity, machines status, machines, and machine groups.

Event Filter A

1. Event Severity Select an event severity to filter on.  (inform, warning, critical, warning&critical, all)
2. Machine Status Select any status(es) from the list you wish to filter on.  (optional)
3. Machine Select any machine(s) from the list you wish to filter on.  (optional)
4. * Machine Group Select any machine group(s) from the list you wish to filter on.  (optional)

Note  Notes:   1.  Can select mulitple items by using SHIFT+Click or CTRL+Click.  (exception: event severity)
2.  If you wish to deselect all the currently selected items, then click the clear button.
3.  * Location, group and keyword are set for machines under "maintenance>>machine update".

The bottom part of the form filters events based on machine location, machine keyword, and property.

Event Filter B

5. * Machine Location Select any location(s) from the list you wish to filter on.  (optional)
6. * Machine Keyword Select any keyword(s) from the list you wish to filter on.  (optional)
7. + Property Filter based on property and property group(s) selected.  (see notes)

Note  Notes:   1.  Can select mulitple items by using SHIFT+Click or CTRL+Click.

3.  * Location, group and keywords are set for machines under "maintenance>>machine update"
4.  + There is an order of precedence when selecting properties in the filter.  (see below)
5.  + For the properties contained within property groups see "maintenance>>property group".
6.  + Any properties selected in this filter will become the new property filter setting.

Order of Precedence

The order of precedence in assigning multiple properties is as follows:

BO User Filter Property

1. All Properties All Properties.  (if selected)
2. * Default Property Default Property.  (if selected and "All Properties" not selected)
3. Property Lists Property Groups and Properties selected.  (If neither checkbox selected)
4. Curr Property Filter Property Filter previously set.  (if no checkboxes or property lists selected)

Note  Note:  *  The Default Property checkbox will reset the "property filter" to the current default property shown in the dropdown lists.




Profile - Change Property Setting

The profile change property setting allows you to set the default property for the property drop-down lists and have the property in effect when you first log in to BackOffice.

Property Drop-Down List

The property drop-down list allows you to change the current property value throughout BackOffice.

Property Filter

The property filter allows you to select multiple properties to filter on.  The property filter is found within the Machine Status, BO User, Employee and SOP User sections.  A change to the property filter in one section affects all of these sections.

Property Filter Setting

The property filter setting is displayed in the Machine Status, BO User, Employee and SOP User lists and filters to show you what properties the machines and users are being filtered on.  (see graphic on left)
